Chris Martin is what Will would be like as a rock star

So we are in Oklahoma City and we just got back from seeing Cold Play. We are staying in a B&B in the TREE HOUSE ROOM ... yes, that's right the Tree house Room. Will, how about explaining this place ... The bed is made to look like a hammock, but it's stationary. It has its own foundation. The bed doesn't move. It's really the attic. Who came up with the "tree house"? I'm always amazed at the massive amount of customized plumbing that goes into a bed and breakfast.

The concert was this huge mass of people. One wonders who they are. The celebrity was bouncing around the stage in white shoes. He sang well, but I wonder why I still couldn't understand him. In this day and age I wonder why the speakers aren't better. He was very appreciative of the audience. I think he came on stage after counting the money. He was very appreciative. He kept saying that he could not believe how many people were here on a Monday night ... we were thinking ... dude, it's Oklahoma ... your still a big deal here, we would all be here on a Monday morning at 8 ... anyway - great concert. Fionna Apple opened and she was amazing! I guess that's it for now ... we are going to get back to the Tree House ...

Well ... we did not place at the 24 Hour Video Race. We got beat by a team who called themselves "Team Awesome." With such a rad name like that you just can't be to upset. So ... carry on we must ... on to the next challenge we find for ourselves.
Sue - what did you think of how the ice skating came down last night?
everyone - are Will and I the only American Idol watchers on the blog?
I would also like to report that since Will has started answering the Help Desk phone at our house the calls (at least for the last two days) have come to a halt.

sloth day for me...

yes, I, too, spent a day in p.j.'s. My most fun was reading your blogs just a few minutes ago. I was without internet access all day which is why I posted the pic of the sleeping kitty...that's mostly what I do when I can't get online.

As to the other pic of a little blond boy driving...homage to the 2 REAL points I got from your blogs...you want 14 babies and love to watch driving...well, go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In other news: yeh for Wendy and Shane; my car was in the shop again this weekend; I have to figure out who the president is; I love Junior Mints; I want to see your movie; I love Will too; I'm glad you're married to Will too, cause I love both of you; Katie's spending President's day with J.'s folks; ask Megan how many takes it took...she missed dinner...; Don't send Champ to rehab...send him to me...; I'm glad you keep your gun and ammo separated...smart move.

This and that

If you would like a copy of the film we made for the Living Arts video race let us know and we can e-mail it to you. There were so many people there last night at midnight turning in their films, we were really surprised. All of the films will be shown at Philbrook and then they will announce the winner.
In other news ... a week from today we go to OKC to see Coldplay ... do you guys think that Gwen will be there? If she was not preggers I think that it would be a better possibility.
Champ is getting better but when he attempts to play he hurts ... I can't wait till he is back to his old self. When it happened I had just gotten out of the shower ... Will came in yelling that Champ had to go to the vet he had been hit. I threw on a cardigan and pj bottoms and left with a towel in my hair. I spent the whole time at the vet clutching my cardigan as I had nothing under it. I had to look like a crazy person as I was crying and clutching with wet hair and pjs on ... what we do for those we love hmmmm ...
We are having a sloth day today. it's a day that I run to QT in the morning and get sloth supplies ... beef jerkey, chips, beer. And then we lay around watching movies, reading ,napping. I love these days so much and they are always a reminder that I am so happy to be married to Will. We spend the day talking and laughing and being next to each other which if there is a heaven I think for me it will be an eternal sloth day.

Scary thought!

What if by the end of the daytona 500 Michelle and I are NASCAR fans?

PErfect Sunday

Little pellets of ice falling, the NASCAR prayer spoken, Maurine Dowd up against Mary Madeleine on Meet the Press, defeat in US Olympic ice Hockey, beef jerky and junior mints, waking late after a late night, editing a short film and turning it in 7 minutes before midnight in the Living Arts/Philbrook Film race... call it a sloth day! I didn't think a debate on Dick Cheney's shooting accident could be interesting... Tim didn't either, and that's why he invited Maurine and Mary to the show. What a show! I think it was more of a debate than I've seen on the President's budget... and that's the sad point that Tim was making.

Mom woke me, speaking for Katherine Taylor on a commercial. I couldn't figure out what Shane's text message was all about when he said he saw mom on tv. Ah... Mom is was indeed on tv. You're down with Katherine Taylor. You want her to be mayor. How many takes did it take to get your line right? Good job. I am really surprised you didn't mention it some time along the way. Aside: Wendy is PRrrregnant. Perhaps you knew... in that case, no "news" meant.

Is anyone else watching the daytona 500? They've just given an explanation on drafting and bumping. There'll be a big crash later. James Con just pronounced an under welming, "Start your engines!" with one hand in his pocket and the other holding the microphone nervously.

I like the Olympics because the people race and then they win or lose and go straight to the awards ceremony, and the critical paths of the events are the number of contestants, the times it takes to get down the mountain, as it usually is, and then how long the winner's national anthem is. In the Women's Skeleton, the women finished their race, and if they were obviously in the winners' circle, they went over and stood in the gold position until the next women bumped her to Silver. She would move over and the new leader walks over and hugs the, now, silver medalist. Then another woman, a French woman, expected to win, wins, and the other two, half way through the French woman's decent through the curves, have already moved over. They hear the French national anthem within, perhaps, 2 minutes of the finish. I would like to note that an American woman went to the winner's circle and got bumped to fourth place and the bronze and silver medal winner looked at her and shamed her off the camera... (more fiction than real).

At this point, I would like to point out that 2 of the bloggers presenting their 4's held one particular, one peculiar, president in high esteem. Which two bloggers am I speaking of? And which president is it that they hold in high regard?

The race is underway. MAN! THESE GUYS ARE ATHLETES !!! THEY WEAR DIAPERS! SCREW LANCE ARMSTRONG! I'd like to mention that I've been watching "The Legends of Motor Sports", thanks to our TVR. (oh, I mean dvr) Of course, this usually consists of those incredible road races like the Targa Folio, where porsche and the ford gt challenged ferrari. (It's where my targa got its name) Those were fantastic races. '61 lemans where two Mexican brothers lead with dominance for 22hrs until their farrari broke. These brothers first raced in Lemans at the age of 17 and 19, two years before. Whenever the Rolex series is on I like to watch it. The cars in that series are usually Pontiacs, Lexus' and Porsches.

LEt's hear it for Salt and Vinegar chips! Mom, I loved the comic. It did raise my respect for this administration!

Update on Champ is, he seems to like these brown pills more and more. We realize it's necessary to kill the pain. He wants to play a little hard and he'll jump down from the bed and then he'll remember that he broke the grill of a Crown Victoria (my neighbor and his brother said, "no wonder you took off to the vet so quick... that guy wanted your information." "He knows where I live... but he doesn't know I've got a shotgun in my attic, where I need the ladder to climb to, and the shells are in the garage... so I could, with 20 minutes preparation, handle myself."). But, Champ now wants a whole pill. He's developed a tolerance to the half pill. Really, he's developing an intolerance to life. We're investigating rehab. The pet insurance we have pays about 50% after the $200,000 deductible, so it's really an option. Maybe they can teach him how to use the dog door too... priceless.

Note: the spell checker suggested MASCARA instead of NASCAR. I would also like to mention that "Stock Cars", as they're called, don't seem to like those 180-190mph speeds. They float around and hit walls. And when Drafting becomes the way to win a race, isn't it getting silly? NO! But I still admire the sports cars and formula 1 racers more.

all signs point to Champ being lively again...

Champ's young...and strong...and fit...and well-loved and well-fed and that's why he survived the worst thing that could happen to a dog. Champ is an example to all of us...stay strong and survive..........he'll soon be up running around again...

Speaking of survival...watch for the snow...it's coming....and stay sober...Eddie Sutton's message (dad always said he was a drunk: dad saw his behavior at UK...never understood how dad knew)....and stay away from guns...and especially stay away from Cheney...

Have a lovely weekend...stay in b/c Tulsa is now one of the most dangerous places to live b/c of violent crime...be aware of your surroundings...Katie...you're fine: NYC is one of the least violent spots on earth!!!! Baga sure enjoyed talking to you, Katie. I'm sorry you won't be seeing J. this weekend but happy you'll see him next weekend. We love you.

Love you all...

hello again... do you like my hat?

Champ’s doing just fine. The mailman proved this. However he is acting very stiff. He can hardly shake his head like a real dog does. It looks like he has no rhythm. The big brown pills take his rhythm. They’re pain pills, and he eats them like he likes them. I usually have to shove a pill down his throat—just like I’m shoving this talk about Champ down your throats. I even thought I might try one of these pills myself. I don’t have much rhythm to worry about. And last night I saw an episode of “how it’s made” on the making of dog food. Overall, it’s made with the same hygienic quality that mills use to make bread, or cereals. I’m sure somebody could easily retool a dog food plant into a cereal plant. So, if your in a predicament, like the economy is collapsing, dog food is really just fine to eat. You might get a bite close to your mouth and smell it and think otherwise, but remember this, the smell is the extract from organic animal parts added by spraying the cereal pieces with a mist, and it is specifically added to please the finicky tastes of cats and dogs. Anyone who has eaten dog and cat food can tell that they’re different. Cats like more fat from animal products and they like it salty. Dogs have a sweet tooth and there tends to be molasses mixed in, just like McDonald’s maple syrup infused egg McMuffins. (I can’t believe I capitalized “McMuffin”)

I would like to add here, that I think a dvd of the complete seasons of "How It's Made" would be a good resource to put on one's book shelf; and I think it would be watched more than the seasons of AFV.

And in what kind of predicament would one find themselves eating dog food? In many ways, Sudanese Refugees eat dog food, made to smell the way humans prefer it, everyday, poured from big brown bags that say USA. And they appreciate this. They’re economy is all but nonexistent... or all but extinct.

Aside: This phrase that is so commonly used, “It is All But…” Has anybody wondered about this like I have. I have no doubt a couple of you, if not all of you have thought this phrase was all but opposite of what it’s trying to say. I have a feeling, for some reason, that this is a phrase Hogbacker has thought about at length, at least at short length. When I want to say something is “tasty”, I might say, “It’s all but Tasty.” But doesn’t that mean the exact opposite of what I want to say? The phrase, “It’s anything but tasty,” has the same ring to it, but it is the opposite… I think, now, I’m all but confused. I hear people using these phrases as though they’re meant to mean the opposite of what someone wants it to say. Are these people using the phrase incorrectly or am I not seeing the real meaning? I’m all but confused. Then there’s a clearer phrase like, “It’s tasty if anything.” That’s clear. But, “It’s all but tasty,” just perplexes me. Do they want to say, “It’s all but not tasty?” And think of it in these terms, “something is everything but one item of everything.”

As for the superpower thing, I added some comments a while back to Michelle’s reference to the Dianne Riem show. But, I think the price of oil is a very good example of how a resource can show the balance of power. China is using more, as Hogbacker mentioned, and the U.S. feels the pangs. The world’s resource markets are suggesting that we Americans, and the rest of the world for that matter, start reducing current levels of consumption in one manner or another. Oil, Copper, Iron, Aluminum (in so far as it takes a massive amount of energy to mine and refine aluminum) are all bouncing far higher due to China and India. Whether reducing the amount of consumption suggests that our quality of life be diminished or that we proceed to more and more efficient levels of living, is a choice. Right now, the higher costs do create a downturn in our quality of life. We are being forced to consume less, as the market would have us do. We are starting to see signs of more efficient consumption. The increase in costs hinder everything from revenue and then tax revenue, and then increases deficits, etc.; and a good example would be that our infrastructure will be brought down, closer and closer to the rising quality of the Chinese infrastructure. Afterall, the money that goes towards consuming the same amount of oil needed to keep the U.S. rolling is being drawn from other areas of life. Just think of the poor nations who are caught in the middle of the oil tug of war... or rather, think of the people of the world caught in this tug of war, because Americans and Kenyans alike are caught. Somewhere, someone has to stop buying oil so that all who can afford the increased prices can have their oil. Of course, there’s only so much production in the world, and there’s only so much capacity for production in the world, and finally, there is only so much of the resource on earth.

I would like to note that we get our oil, predominantly, from Canada, Mexico, Venezuela and Nigeria. Saudi Arabia is a large source for the U.S., but third to Canada and Mexico and about equal to Venezuela. Saudi Arabia and the rest of the middle-east currently provides China with the majority of its imports…China’s consumption will increase it’s imports in the future. This, I believe, is good for the U.S. Let China take care of the Middle-East. For instance, at this point, you could say that we are taking care of China’s Middle-Eastern problem. Or, some might say that we are causing problems for China in the Middle-East... that is probably closer to the truth.

We need, more than anything as an economy, more than anything to make us competitive—which is another way to say, “keep our quality of life”—is alternative fuels, and cheaper alternative fuels… The key word is "cheaper." As we stop burning oil, there will be more for China and India to burn. So, we don’t want burning oil to be an economic benefit for China and India, or else they will burn more and the environment will suffer and our economy will continue to suffer (in some ways China makes us suffer and in some ways we would'nt have the quality of life we have without China, refering to Wal-Mart and everything China makes for us).

As for the subject of superpowers, I don’t think I’m explaining it very well, but I think the shift of power is subtle and the shift is well underway and has been for at least a decade; and very perceptive people may have seen it changing since the eighties. Dad took off to China with some foresight, or our of necessity... But most everybody realizes this is the way it will go: how could a force like China be held down? No way. I think a tremendous advantage is given to China with it’s currency held in check, and I think this advantage manifests itself when the bill for Iraq is tallied each year, and the bill for Katrina is tallied. I think, if anything, we can’t afford to be a superpower, the way we’ve been being a superpower. And I mean the word “afford” to refer to finances specifically. If we can’t afford to be a superpower, and this is debatable until it’s obvious that we can’t afford to be a superpower—but hasn’t our deficit made it obvious? Therefore, I say, we are not a superpower as it once was defined.

If China decided to attack Taiwan, and more seriously, Japan, I think we would have to consider, seriously, our ability as a nation, and as a generation, to combat this. Even if North Korea crossed the border into South Korea, we would basically have to fold our bluff at a tremendous loss. Therefore, we are not any more a military power than North Korea... I know it's a stretch, but I think North Korea would be able to mobilize more people to fight than the U.S. (it's really just theory though, because it won't happen). This is arguably true unless we tally Nuclear Weapons. But that would bring the world down.

I guess I just think the word “superpower” presupposes the willingness of a country to decimate its economy for power and the unwillingness of a foe to fight back. A resource like oil, with ever increasing prices, could drive countries to war (hmmm). But Iraq is a look at the economic benefit of war over annexing new oil production. We are in the red on the Iraqi oil venture.

With the term "Superpower" began being deminished when the term "Globalisation" arose. As Globalisation continues to grow, China and India being key players in this effort, the notion of a superpower will refer more to Soccer than to overall all countries... or Snowboarding as it were, in which case the Swiss would have given pulled one over on the U.S. More and more, the world, all nations therein, are seen to be "in it together." As this occurs, and the U.S. and Japan and Western Europe go on alternative energy, like Nuclear power, (and Iran, as the case may be), the technology will begin to quickly be transfered to China and India so that they too will not burn oil reserves out. Of course, in some respects they are leading in the technologies of alternative energy.

Bill Mahr is back tonight. We have new garage door openers (Chinese I'm sure).

Yes, that is right. Champ got hit by a car last night. The vet called it a miracle that there was no internal injures. The car hit him, he went up on to the car, dropped to the ground and then he was pushed down the street as the car came to a stop. Had this happened to Attie both Will and I are sure that he would not have made it. Last night and this morning Champ would cry anytime I left the room. Basically the old boy was still getting his way as he was passed out and drugged up so nothing has changed. He is so banged up and out of it that now all the tables have been turned. Attie is the strong alert one and Champ is weak and shocked. We are so thankful that he is ok, this would have been a very different sort of day had we had to put him down. Will was sure right when it happened that he had to be dead but somehow he survived it. Champ is our kid ... the fact that we raised him like a human makes him seem even more like our kid. We did not need this reminder to know how much he means to us but we certainly know now more than ever. Now I gotta get back to the little fella. He is so banged up but he still lifts his leg so you can rub his belly.

Poor Champ

Our sympathy goes to Champ who, I understand, is very sore b/c of his collision with a car last night...we are all very sad...but, it could have been worse. He could have been climbing a ladder to a helicoptor with a shark at his pretty poodle paws!!!

he has spoken

it's all his fault and he's in a funk, but he still loves his guns...now he knows what a funk feels like...things have gone Cheney's way all these yrs. I'm thinking Haliburton primarily...what a guy...

hee-hee

it's about time...

I've been waiting patiently for someone to bring up that rascal Cheney!! If his victim dies the Republicans will loose their majority hold on Congress...that's what's at stake... and the Dems will be back in 'power' by just sitting still! And keeping their guns in their holsters, so to speak.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!! It occured to me today that I should write an ode to my son-in-law and daughter-in-law. It's been so long since I last wrote an ode that I'm rusty. So, forgive me for that.

Beautiful people who have come into our lives...each giving more than is required with such grace...loving you is easy....thank you for your devotion....it is totally appreciated...and I cannot imagine life without you.

Help is on the Way!!!!

Katie, just settle in. We have located just the guy you need...

Are we bullish on the USA?

No wonder the blog was fired up at lunchtime...we had our resident 'the glass is half empty guy' pounding the keys!!! Whew!!! No hope? No hope? No hope??? I am preparing the lake property to house the whole dang family...we'll settle in and create our own commune, with an organic garden, co-op library, boy scout sponsored medical center, fishing wharf, militia, spiritual center, day care (that's my job...the granny), home-school, and crematoreum. I like it...

run ... and don't look back!

Katie .. how are you doing? Were you a shut in this weekend due to the weather? I am happy that you have netflix so at least we know you had some flicks. I got your netflix invite ... it is so neat. Did you see the little "quiz" that you can take about the number of stars that your friends gave movies? so cute ..
All the news reports here are all acting like the end of days is about to hit your city. Give us an update. In response to your last post .. personally, I think that it is far worse where you are weather wise b/c while it does get hot here, we go from the AC in the car to the AC in the office to the AC at home. I figure that New York City has to have really crappy weather or everyone would move there. Can you imagine the city with perfect weather? heaven. Anyway, Will and I have been thinking about you all weekend so post when you get the chance and let us know how you are dealing with the end of days storm!

Thursday, February 09, 2006

think about it...........

don't ya just feel like hugging some time? I'm glad I have people I can hug.....

If I were ...

WOW ... This is a pairing I have never even thought of. If they were in a movie together and I was Brad I would be a bit worried. There is this goofy, all American, aw shucks thing that Brad has a bit of and it does not fit with ol' Angie. Johnny Depp and Angie would be amazing together on screen or in life. Of course he has that amazing French singer wife who is just as cool as Angie so maybe they will just stick to the screen.
AUTHORS NOTE: I have just spent more time analyzing four people that I will never meet that I spend analyzing my own inner life. Thank you and good night.
Katie - don't you love netflix? Filling up your que is so much fun! We have done very well with the documentaries that NETFLIX has recommended for us. As it learns your taste it will do the same for you. I think there is a "friends" thing you can do on netflix to pass on good movies ... I will look in to it.

speaking of Wuthering Heights...

I heard a rumor that these 2 have been cast in Wuthering Heights...can you imagine?

Super Fours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Presidents: I have a feeling I would have really liked Theodore Roosevelt. Once he was shot and went on with his speech. Otherwise, I did like Clinton. I think Franklin Roosevelt was as momentous as any other president in history, including Lincoln. I think his death was one of the most unfortunate moments in the 20th century.

History: To be born in 1885 in order to live Paris and NYC through the first half of the 20th century and die in 1970. In this era Art made huge leaps, jazz became pop music, the dollar was powerful, travel was epic, adventure still happened, the individual rose, writing was the main medium, cultural cynism had not pervaded the America.
When Greek Gods snooped around.

Favorite College Class: Seminar Class at St. John's

Guilty Pleasures: Burning Fuel, filling my pool from the aquafer. Those are the thing I feel a tinge of guilt over, the rest of what I do, I'm happy to do.

Favorite Museums: Recently, Nasher Sculpture Center... good art, good nap; Centre George Pompidou. Let's here it for the museums!

Childhood Memories: Earliest memories are from Myrtle beach, when Megan was in a playpen, or some sort of pen, and also Granpa scratching is belly in Marion and me asking why and he said, "because I have an itch." Marion trips were fun. Doug had models and the basement was full of old toys... and trying to ride the huge bikes the uncles had, playing with matchbox cars on a big dirt mount there at the end of the street.
Stuffed animals. I remember Megan and I created a city of sorts, in the playroom and set up stores and made a currency and established an economy. And then just playing war and biking and mowing lawns and sunburns and trips to Ohio and the east coast... Rhode Island. Childhood was good.

Young Adult Memories: Chicago was good, Alaska was fun, Miami was exciting, Progressive Brass Memories, and lots of memories between.

Candies: Junior Mints, Toffee, Dark Chocolate Bars, Twix used to be my favorite.

I'd Give 10 years of my life to see the U.S. economy change from fossil fuels to renewable energy and nuclear.

My Philosophy in 2 sentences is as follows: I'll enter this tomorrow

Young Adult Memories: b-ball games with friends at St. Joe; hanging with Sharon; hanging with friends...FRIENDS, FRIENDS, FRIENDS...............and meeting Tom and telling him our grandchildren would see his scar (first date); when Tom told me he loved me (our 3rd date)..........

Favorite Candies: Snickers, Payday, Sue Flynn's Toffee, Butterfingers.

I'd give an extra 10 yrs. of my life for Eternal World Peace, CCMCO completely taking over the foundry equipment market.

Favorite childhood memory: Hearing the light rock station that my mom would have on when she cleaned, dancing in the living room to Broadway showtunes, Going to a Pentecostal Church with my best friend whose father was the pastor, being alone in my room and acting the president of a club which all my stuffed animals belonged.

Favorite young adult memory: Going downtown to TUCCA, all the nights out (I can't believe I am still around!), Paul!, the drama life takes on when you think everything is so important and you are at the center of your universe.

Favorite candy: Mellocremes, sour balls, Good and Plenty, Nerds filled gum

What would you give up for an extra 10 years on your life? The highest metabolism imaginable, more athletic ability, to compete athletically at a high level, for Attie and Champ to live forever, for millions and millions of dollars

In two sentences sum up your outlook or philosophy on life? I am a cheerful Deconstructionist. Nothing Matters.

I really liked this movie and think Russell Crow may have
been overlooked for a best actor nod...
has anyone else seen it?

OK .. did you see this on Perez Hilton ... if not, following are his comments .... thoughts?

Katie Holmes went for a coffee run in West Hollywood on Wednesday, proudly showing off her alien bump and a sexy unitard.

Hmmmm. She may be pregnant, but is the baby really Tom's?

For years, insiders have whispered (loudly) in Hollywood that Cruise can not have his own biological children because his sperm count is too low. That would explain why he and Nicole Kidman adopted their two children.

Additionally, though this obviously was never confirmed, the leading theory in LA as to the Kidman / Cruise divorce is that Nicole became pregnant with Ewan McGregor's child, which ended up in miscarriage, whilst filming Moulin Rouge. According to that theory, Tom was furious that Nicole broke their pact. They could each fool around with other men, but she could never get pregnant. Why? Because it'd become obvious when the child grew up that it wasn't Cruise's.

And, just because Katie Holmes is showing off her belly now, we're still not 100% certain she is sperminated. It may be just a really good prosthetic!

(NOTE TO KATIE: Will spent some time the other day trying to convince all of us that America is not the lone superpower)

I would like to go down as saying I am sympathetic to the Palestinian plight. I think most people are. I do think that 1 billion to the PA needs to be given in the form of infrastructural improvement, employing only Palestinian contractors and personnel. I think the same is true for Iraq. I think these situations are quagmires because they are physically quagmires, with poor conditions. Infrastructure is the area to invest and employ. Help them work and allow them to work for an improved country... As for Hamas, I have to believe many Palestinians voted for them because of Fada. Standard procedure in a Democracy... at least when the districts are fair and balanced and not gerrymandered... it seems the elections in Palestine are more fair.

As for Bush, I thought he struck cords of balance, but he's got a long ways to go to make it reality. I'm speaking of the energy promises primarily. He suggests a 75% reduction in the use of Petroleum by 2026. Or was that a 75% reduction in the average yearly increase? It was worded funny. I forget now what he said, but the fact that he said, "We're going to strive to push beyond a petroleum based economy was positive in my book... but not enough." He didn't mention anything about GM and Ford in reference to this topic.

I thought it was very funny when it came to the budget and he explained that with continued budget cuts they might have the budget deficit cut in half by 2009. I noticed people laughing, and then a few republicans stood up like this was good. He just stated it like it was a good thing.

I approve of his initiative for a competitive America, but I don't know if he can move the juggernaut of the government quickly enough to make us competitive with India and China. They will have cheaper labor for decades (approximately 6.7 decades). His verbiage on this topic was needed.

Overall, it does seem like he presented issues more clearly, and laying them bare rather than spinning... I have to say the war in Iraq was still spun mostly.

He didn't mention his pics for the Oscars.
