What up, yo
Katie ... I have lost track on what Jordan is doing. Is he home now or is he gone already? Did you two get to spend Easter together? We had a nice Easter at the bar in the backyard. My mom and your mom and Jesse came and we ate pie. I was going to do an Easter egg hunt for the dogs but I could not hide the treats without them following me. I guess I should have considered their excellent smelling abilities before I planned that one. Next time you come home you won't believe what your brother has done with the bar ... it really is getting bigger and better. Pretty soon I am going to start charging admission and checking ID at the door. =)

Ann's back on the dating circuit...

My mom has had an admirer, Bill, for many yrs. He told everyone that if he could find a "girl" like Ann, he would marry her. Recently, mom was called by Bill to go to a party together, and, even tho mom wasn't sure that Bill could drive at night, she said "yes". A few days later, mom's friend, Sarah called and told mom that Sarah and Jack would pick up both Ann and Bill b/c Bill sometimes gets "confused".
Bill comes to Ann's door and they get in the car full of oldsters for the ride to the party. Once at the party, Bill ignores mom completely.
Later, mom and Bill join Sarah and Jack for dinner at a restaurant with the group of friends from the party. As they were leaving the restaurant, Sarah told mom: Mid-way through the dinner, Bill turned to Sarah and asked Ann's name. My mom laughed so hard she had to run to the restroom...old age dating isn't for sissies.

The thing I love about this family is we maintain our sense of humor...

God knows, we've been thrown some ringers, but, all in all...we're doing OK. I hear so many sad stories from friends and the guys at Rebos that I thank God every day that we all have our health and sanity (???)...after all, it's most important to stay in the game..."No matter what is going on, never give up. Develop the heart. Too much energy is spent developing the mind instead of the heart....and I say again, never give up, no matter what is happening, no matter what is going on around you, never give up."

Is it just me??????????????

Hasn't this week been stressful? It seems like everything has gone wrong. What happened to the good old days when all I had to worry about was driving carpools? Would I get there on time? Would I remember everyone's kids? I sorta long for the simple lives we had back then.
Yes, I was up early....and, yes, I went to bed late...just don't need as much sleep as I once did. Wish I could be more productive during the hours between 4 & 8 am, and 9 and midnight...got any ideas???

when it rains it pours...
Will, Mayor Taylor would appreciate your voting style...she's the one who advocates 2 votes per person...however, your 1 vote per candidate she wouldn't like.
Glad to see so many blogging...it was lonely for a while. For those of us who have a 'not so big' life...we're really attached to the blog. And for those of us who have an addictive personality, we need to blog too. And for those of us with abandonment issues, we need not to be left with no blogs to read. See how sick I am??? Only just discovering it...and it's not pretty...but I'm in recovery :)...

It was an easy victory for Taylor. I voted for her. Megan didn't. I went twice. Once as Megan and once as William. They asked why I had a “I Voted” sticker on. I said, “I always wear this shirt when I vote… I’m superstitious.”
I knew LaFortune was going to need a vote, that's why Megan voted for Lafortune.
I told the old ladies that Megan was a boy's name too.
Big Love
That is a GREAT shot of Jordan! He looks older ... not age wise but wisdom-wise. I guess the experience he has just been thru would do that to anyone. After watching Jarhead the other night I have a whole new respect for what he went thru.
I have seen every episode of Big Love but I think I am going to give it up. I feel like the story idea is ingenuous ... the acting wonderful and is an all around worthy program. For me there is just something missing from it ... I just don't care about the characters, even though I think they are so well written and to me it has a touch of Desperate Housewives in it, which I don't care for. I might stick with it if I was not already caught up in The Sopranos, Huff and American Idol ... adding another show is just to much TV. But I would love to hear what everyone thinks. I do agree Megan that the husband is just running around all the time putting out fires.

Big Love
Is anyone watching Big Love on HBO?
I missed the first episodes but am now DVRing. I saw one and I don't know how I feel about it. I can't tell what the thing is from just the episode I've watched. His family is off the compound and seem modern. But do they believe in the Polygamy they are practicing? I assume so. It seems to be just Bill Paxton running around like a headless chicken to a different wife every night.
Thoughts?
