I really liked this movie and think Russell Crow may have
been overlooked for a best actor nod...

I have heard that Russel really should have been nominated but that some felt he had enough with two Oscars ... I hate the politics that goes in to the Oscars ... if he deserved it he should have been nominated.
righto...he captured the character so well...not that I've ever known a down-on-his-luck prizefighter...but he really made you believe in the guy....
