Hamas or humus??? It is a no-brainer...

We may have been optimistic about the Hamas. We live in a world of movies and popcorn and bones and fluffy dogs. We watch the Oscars instead of thinking about Oscar Levowitz being suicide-bombed....and I'm not making light of this situation...just don't want to think about it right now...maybe the world leaders will evoke their strength and settle things down...is it possible that the Palestinians are really bad people??? Or is it generations of hatred coming together and given a little power? The vote is power...
I digress: this is about movies. BBM is bound to be Hollywood's favorite b/c of the subject-matter; not Toby's favorite. I'm with Toby on this one. Walk the Line delivered 2 1st rate performances, and it's probably Toby's favorite, but it would be a really weak yr. for Reese to win. I'm still for Philip in Capote as BA. I am for Felicity H. even though I haven't seen her movie yet; she is an amazing actress and it's a breakout role...don't think Toby would agree...but, whatever...I'm not country all the time.
Rachel W. for BSA; Jake G. for BSA; Woody Allen for BScreenplay for Match Point. Best picture: it's a crap shoot. Crash is really making some waves in Hollywood right now and I did love the movie, but: Best Picture? No way...
Memoirs of a Geisha is a wrap for art awards, I think. Munich is a long-shot, but Steven should feel honored he was brought in the mix...it was a fantastic movie, but very controversal.
What am I missing??? Ang Lee for best director, and BBM for best pic. Maybe????
