Woody does Crime & Punishment

We saw Match Point last night and I would highly recommend it. It is a strong entry into the Woody-as-serious-auteur category and the new London locations have obviously livened Allen's spirits. Match Point is as smart as it is well-made, extremely enjoyable to watch and well worth the price of admission. Anyone? Anyone?
In other news the Oscar nods went out this morning. Will was THRILLED to watch them on E! this morning, let me tell you. No big surprises except for Terrence Howard for Hustle and Flow. Will and I watched this movie last weekend and neither of us hated it and his performance was Oscar worthy. Anyone have any thoughts on the other Oscar shout outs?

well...I need to see Hustle & Flow. I wonder if Terrence's performance was as good as Ralph Fiennes in Constant Gardner...or for that matter Jonathan Rhy-??? in Match Point. He was fabulous...
I think PTS (??) will win it for Capote...I predict his performance is one that will be used as a teaching tool for actors for all time...so restrained...
