Did Blogger Kill the Blog

I don't like typing in a longer User Name, holding the shift key and typing in ".com".

Google can crash now for all I care.

Is everyone else using their new google user names?

The ground sure is wet and muddy. The whole earth around here.

OK here's something to do. I'm interested in a short synopsis, from each of you, about the fiction or nonfiction story behind one or more or all of the following titles. Among the amazing details you imagine, be sure to note how your story ends:

1. The Whole Earth Around Here
2. Grave Sites Under the Water
3. Let's Bribe Him
4. Goodbye Awards Ceremony Sunday
5. Hanging the Flat Screen
6. The Fitness Machine Mechanic
7. Hippo Poison
8. A Kosher Dumpling
9. Burqa.com
10. B is for Bronx
11. Last of the Birds
12. Sweet Jesus and Suburbia
13. A Blind Alcoholic
14. Coconut Water
15. The Curly Hair Symposium
16. An Elephant Weighs Less

Kosher Sushi Joint

Jesse and I were remembering last night the kosher sushi joint we ended up at on our last night in NYC and we thought that maybe we should remind everyone how incredibly wierd the entire experience was. That setting has got to end up in someone's story.

It was our last night in the city and weary from walking all day in boots with no give, we fell into the first restaurant that looked inviting. Our little sister, Phyllis, mentioned that she had heard the name before. Then it must be good, I thought, knowing that with all the restaurants in New York only the best of the best or most famous got write ups and thus were heard of by anyone other than the people from the neighborhood. Little did we know that she had read about the restaurant in the latest issue of The Turnip and that the blurb was comparing dumplings filled with ground beef to Taco Shells filled with Falafal, combinations that no one ever wished for..............................................................

I love winter

Don't ask me why, I just love the incovenience of cold weather. A huge reason for my love of snow is my memories....of snow days on Troost.....hot chocolate, sleeping late, bundling up to make a snowman.....watching tv in the afternoon.....and, then, when dad came home from work, we would all pile in the car and go to dinner.....poor dad, we didn't let him take one break.....and we'd slide over the roads and have a ball.

How about favorite snow memories.............in Tulsa and out of Tulsa. I have ideas but I want to see if everyone remembers the same stuff I remember.

getting ready for the road trip

Found a friend to help me load the table at the lake into the suburban. YAY! Now I'm looking for loaders to load the table, before Thursday am, at my house into the sub. to take to the lake. And, Jesse & Meg, can you load the pine cabinet into your truck for transfer into the sub.?

If we all work together we can complete this little job.
