Now we know

Sue ... I think we have found the reason for Will's poor sportsmanship. This letter is from yesterday's Tulsa World's Letter to the Editor and I think that we have a certain high school to blame.
Bad sportsmanship

Regarding "BTW 43, Jenks 37: Booker T. upsets Jenks" (Sept. 23): What some people might not know was the poor sportsmanship shown by Booker T. after the game. After a bit of well-deserved celebration, some of the players went to the center of Jenks' field and jumped and spat on the painted Trojan head.
I understand how exciting it must be to upset the No. 1 team at home, but there is no place in sports for that kind of behavior.

But , I thought Will was bigger than that...I thought he could rise above all that northside bad sportsmanlike behavior, being raised in mid-town and all....please note that my tongue is in my cheek.....
Spitting has a long tradition in Sports. I think everyone has noticed that Baseball players do it.
The fact is that Jenks didn't provide BTW a place to properly spit after the game. Jenks has White only Spittoons, therefore there was a protest.
But I think the #1 title mentioned in the letter was filled with hot air. Jenks was never #1. Not without playing BTW. Nor was Union ever #1, not without playing BTW.
It would have been an upset if BTW lost.
And the sportsmanlike behavior continues......or is it just school loyalty?
Whatever it is...it's so un-Will-like...
Why is the Arrogance of Jenks being perceived as unsportsmanlike behavior on my part?
I feel like a Republican!
oh, you pitiful person....
