thanksgiving

I apologize for this turkey picture but it's all I could find....and, as it turns out, it's appropriate b/c my family really doesn't like turkey....do we want to do a tenderloin for thanksgiving this yr.?

Anyway: this is just a gentle reminder that our favorite holiday is fast approaching. This year we have the addition of a special feature: Katie McKee! Arriving Wed. afternoon, when we will start the festivities....dinner at Fuji Wed. night.

Thanksgiving dinner where?
What to serve?
What to do for fun?

I'd like to spend a little time at the lake while Katie is here....is anyone up for spending Thanksgiving Day there?

This isn't a "list" but it is interactive....so your input would be appreciated. I will consider all suggestions and remember that we are in the planning/brainstorming mode.....

Dinner at Fuji Wed before T-day sounds great ... I have always thot it would be so wonderful to spend thanksgiving at the lake. If we did that we could be there by the late afternoon ... I have to work on Friday so we would have to come home but that would not be a problem.

well....if you arrive late and leave early, we don't get to spend much time with you. Probably not a good idea then. What time do you finish at Dave & Missy's?

We usually start at the Smiths (margs sister) at 12 or 1-ish so we can be done by 3-ish. We could stay overnight or late ... I would just need to get back by 10-ish the next morning.

I want to sleep from 4am to 8am. And bring the cards Katie!

...was it a card game that got us so drunk?

...I actually don't want to get drunk... I don't want to even drink. I'm on the Turkey day wagon.

yeah....I remember that game as one of the funnest things we've ever done....and I regret not being able to drink wine while I'm playing it this year. I will not miss the hang-over I had the next day tho. I'll drink coke....&, actually, I realize now that I can get pretty happy drinking coke and wonder why I ever drank wine at all.

... but what if we all try something new this year and snort coke? (maybe not)
That night was fun ... I do remember how everyone got pretty tipsy on the card night and I stayed pretty sober but ohhhhhh the next night ... not so pretty.
that next day was NOT fun and the birthday cake shake on the way home was not doing anyone any favors.
