It's a good thing ...

It's a good thing that Champ N Attie are going to live forever and no harm will ever come to them. If we lived in a horrible, horrible world where dogs actually died then I might have to get a Bedlington Terrier (above) b/c I am really very fond of them and think that they may even be cuter than Standard but no where as smart. um ... hmmm he he ... um ... they are going to live forever right?

ok .. I'll fess up ... I know they will leave me one day as all good things come to an end but ... alas ... it's a nice thought. And it will leave an opening for the new breed I would like to try or should I say the new sheep I would like to try out. Speaking of pups how is Jordan's dog? Isn't it a retriever that loves the water if my memory serves?

I'm in shock. To replace standard poodles in your affections with a stuffed animal(overgroomed) seems un-Michelle-like. I know there is an imposter who logged in and posted for you. Get outta here, pretend-Michelle. This is a family blog and we know our own.

oh good ... I will be sure to listen for her ... yes, they say that we are really picking out a version of ourselves when we pick our dogs ... I am not sure what that means about Will and I picking Champ but I am afraid I do ...
what kind of dog do you day dream about when you buy your house? I can see you having two ... a Bo dog for Jordan and then a Sophie type dog for you ... so cute!

you know ... you are right ... what am I thinking? upon futher reading I learned that so called "breed" is, indeed not as smart and even (gasp!) barks AND digs... I am sure they are also free of temper tantrums to boot ... you called it ... thanks for the wake up call. It's only standards from here on out! (except for maybe the one hairless Chinese Creasted thrown in there)

My fav image of Sophie was when she was walking around with half a rose bush on her back ... one thing about Sophie .... no matter what, she just kept on truckin' ... yes, I move to retire Sophie's jersey as well.
I remember Will told me that the night we met, he went home and could not sleep so walked Soph around the block at 3am in the morning .. I remember thinking that Soph must be some big athletic dog who would be up for a walk at that time in the morning .... when I met her it was a very diffrent story ... but it was true that little girl was just up for anything ... any time of day

the classic memory of Sophie was when the vet in Jay, OK brought her to me after she had been in the wilderness for 10 days. He was soaked in blood up to his shoulders....she was partially shaved and covered in sores....unrecognizable....he said, "Take her please, I've got to get back to the calfing..." What a sight she was...all b/c she was pissed off about the fireworks.....gosh that girl had spunk.
