Bewitched, bothered and bewildered or One Step Closer to the realization of a dream

For some time now I have wanted a Hairless Chinese Crested puppy. There was a dog show this weekend that we attended originally to look at the Standards who were without a doubt exquisite. Will mentioned that we should find the CC's so we hunted down a breeder who introduced me to one of her bitches. Well ... she had my at ruff! We went back the next day to see them compete and it was all over for me at least. Will seems cautious. Do they need sun screen on it the summer? yes. Do they need sweaters in the winter? yes. Might Attie and Champ think it is a rodent and try to hunt it? I am afraid so ... but look at these precious little babies ... here is a shot of a puppy and an adult ...

How was everyone's weekend? IK ... did you get to see any of the Marathon?

um....um....well now....I am reminding myself and others that this blog exists as a forum for our preferences, ideas, opinions, fantasies, obsessions...and so, under those circumstances, I am giving Slobbie my vote for the most unusual choice of dog for today. Can anyone top one of these animals in uniqueness?

thank you sue and IK for your support! I fear that some in my family will not be so sweet ... I am sure that my brother will set out traps for it. =) IK - I never see CC 'round these parts ... if I were in the city and saw them daily I would not know what to do with myself! I can see me with hundreds of these things scampering around me if I had my way. That is very kind of you to say that you would pet him or her. I will admit when the breeder got her out of the crate I wanted to touch it but was just a tad fearful.
That is SO cool that you got to see the Marathon! Did you, by any chance get to see Lance? It blows my mind that he did it under 3 hours! How did your friend do?

CC's are cute, especially from 10 ft. I have to say, when the breeder said, "Oh, they don't need a sweater if they just go out to pee," I thought, "This thing is going to have my closet before I know it! It's going to sit at the vanity!"

I can just hear Attie growl when he tells the little CC, "I've slept longer than you've been alive you little rodent!"

I'll love it from a distance....there is no way I'll ever touch the little bugger. Whoops!where did that come from? It's the evil twin I have...most of the time I keep her locked up but sometimes, on rare occasions, when she is really adamant about something, she forces her way out. Slobbie, just get a Barbie Doll....much cuter; cuter clothes; no chance of a Barbie being eaten by either Champ or Attie. Sometimes, we're just supposed to dream about pets....not really, seriously own them.

ohhhhh you say that now ... but when that little rodent comes over to see you it will be love at first sight ... even if that love is always handled with gloves =)

OK...OK...I'll give you this: I will handle this little hairless dog gloveless, if you will let me handle frequently little Willhimina Thomasina when that little wonder appears on the scene.....
