Jack Dunphy was a dancer and a writer who never really wrote anything of note but you can still pick up some of his work and I am always meaning to read something of his. I think that he wrote a book about his life with Capote which would also be interesting.
Megan - that just sucks! I swear to God I think people should be taught when they are in elementary school how to behave in a movie theater. I don't take spending 8 bucks (even more in NYC) on a ticket only to have some jerk talk thru out the movie. One time after a movie was over my dad turned around to the people seating behind us and said, "I am not really sure what this movie was about but I sure do know everything that is going on between you two." I wish I had what it takes to say something like that but this strange polite formality takes over when I am in a movie theater. However - I feel your pain. Honestly, it is what makes me watch most films at home with Netflix. If I was in a pageant that would be my platform issue ...
