For Your Consternation
So we saw "For Your Consideration" last night. I am a fan of Christopher Guest but I think I would advise saving this for netflix. It is just so damn expensive to go to the movies anymore that I always expect them to be worth every penny and neither of us walked out raving about the film. I do love Parker Posey so very much and she was, as always, wonderful. In fact she sort of has my "dream Hollywood career," (she and Angie of course) which begs the question .... which actor's work life would you like? AND Anyone seen anything lately?

Yes, Netflix or Blockbuster as the case may be. I introduced Jesse to Christopher Guest Films with A Mighty Wind and am still disappointed by that flick.
O, I liked A Mighty Wind...........in fact, I love all his movies, but will wait for this latest one..............
yes ... I liked "A Mighty Wind" also but for me "Best In Show" was one of the all time best. Of course Waiting for Guffman is also great and his screen play for This Is Spinal Tap provided the humor (along with Dolemite) for most of my collage carrer ... but I digress. Catherine O'Hara is so wonderful no matter what role he puts her in ... even tho "For Your Consideration" was not my fav, she knocks it out of the park acting wise.
Katie ... I noticed that your author was on Oprah yesterday ... is that the show you went for? Were you back stage or did you sit in the audience? and again - your life. so cool! =)
I saw it against my better judgement b/c of your posting, Slobbie. I agree with you....but I did stay awake....which is more than I can say for my condition in "One Night with a King"............oh, so soundly did I sleep......
