Megan ... I am sorry that I had to miss your birthday dinner. We lost an very important audio file at work, in fact this is a picture of out automation system panicking. When I got home from putting out this particular fire at work Will gave me the run down ...
1) Sue was under a blanket with a glow stick and got it in her eye. Her eyes now glow in the dark
2) Jesse just got back from camp
3) Brent was busier than anyone at the table last week
4) Megan is going to chess camp next week
Will usually leaves out some important aspects of stories or mixes them up but he said he was pretty sure all of this happened

honestly, this is the first time I laughed today.............thank you, my darling children for making my life worth living. This throwing away 65 yrs. of CCM is taking its toll on me.....I spend most of the time crying, grieving, & mourning; my buddies in AA say crying is the best thing I can be doing for "growth"....which, in my humble opinion is a crock of cow manure...............sorry, Katie, I know your citified sensibilities may be offended by my countrified language........love you all....bear with me...this, too, shall pass.....

Michelle,

You got it exactly right! I am loving chess camp. I am the best one there and can beat everyone and nearly made a boy cry because I beat him so bad, etc.

Sue, you should know I am quoting the elder step son, such a paradoxical mix of cockiness and low self esteem. A fascinating character study.

They say, with lots of documentation, that the cockier the person, the lower his/her self-esteem.....fix the self-esteem, and the cockiness disappears.....or maybe he's just an adolescent boy.....they're hard to keep in check.....but, to make another boy cry over a chess game??? I'd check the esteem of that other boy.
