I wish I knew how to quilt with you!

Will is in the country having a little Brokeback Mountain of his own with Wade tonight so I decided to go see the film Brokeback Mountain to see just what they were up to ..... WOW!
I would really love to hear others critique of the movie if you have seen it. Personally, I admired the film and felt it important but thought that it could have been heavily edited. It seemed such a soft, slight story but I did not need the amount of time spent on the largeness of the surroundings and I thought it messed with the films rhythm. I am sure that it will do well at the Oscars but really at the end of the day it was just a small love story. Perhaps to some the homosexual aspect will be enough to carry the film and hold their interest level but I was not moved in anyway. To be fair I don't care for romantic films in any way so I guess I could just say that although I realize the beauty of the movie overall the love story would never interest me no matter what sexuality the main players were. I did find Heath Ledger's performance amazing and would feel confident recommending the film if only to take in his portrayal. OK ... Your turn, anyone seen it?
